At UT Southwestern Medical Center, our specialists take the complex medical information surrounding a lung condition or disease and describe it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer access to educational materials that will help patients learn more about lung disease, its diagnosis and treatment, and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.

Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients approach medical treatment for a lung condition or disease. In addition to access to health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after diagnosis and treatment, and also to explore any possible follow-up treatments that might be needed.
