UT Southwestern Medical Center's Pain Program offers treatment for patients suffering from migraine and other types of headaches as well as peripheral neuropathy. Our neurologists use state-of-the-art methods to diagnose conditions, and then tailor individualized treatments for each patient.
Physicians examine patients' medical histories, including a thorough review of headache or pain history. Neurological exams and neuropsychological assessments may be given to explore possible causes and suggest treatment options. Other state-of-the-art procedures such as electrophysiological tests, magnetic resonance imaging and blood analyses are available to further investigate pain sources. Patients also benefit from access to experts in related specialties, including neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists and psychiatrists.
UT Southwestern physicians work with patients to uncover the reasons behind chronic pain and provide ongoing relief for it with the latest, most innovative treatments.
Patients experiencing headaches can also be treated by our pain management or dentistry and oral surgery services. Patients experiencing neuropathic or other chronic pain can also be treated by our pain management service.
