Physicians in UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynecology Program strive to develop long-term relationships with their patients through many years of quality patient care. State-of-the-art comprehensive women's health care is available from this team.

Every woman is encouraged to have an annual well-woman exam by a gynecologist. At UT Southwestern, gynecologists and nurse practitioners provide expert evaluation and treatment services in a comfortable environment.

Gynecology and well-woman services include:

  • Routine annual well-woman evaluation (breast and pelvic physical exams, Pap smear, and other laboratory and imaging studies as needed);
  • Counseling on issues of contraceptive selection and use, and HPV vaccinations for adolescents and young adults;
  • Assessment and management of pelvic infections, endometriosis and other common as well as complex problems of the female urinary and reproductive tracts;
  • Management and treatment options for menstrual problems like heavy bleeding and PMS;
  • Pregnancy confirmation;
  • Management and treatment options for the symptoms of menopause; and
  • General gynecologic surgery, such as hysterectomy, as well as procedures using minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation.

Tours of our maternity facilities at University Hospital, St Paul Building are available on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. and the fourth Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. For more information, please call 214-645-1545.
