Support Groups and Resources
UT Southwestern Medical Center has a caring staff of medical professionals who are committed to enhancing patients’ quality of life as well as meeting the needs of patients’ families. We can direct patients to a variety of informative and enriching support groups and other resources, which can be tailored to meet their specific needs.
At UT Southwestern, excellence in patient care includes helping point the way to resources patients may not be familiar with, but which have proved invaluable to others. We trust these services will assist patients as they move forward on the road to healing and improved health.
Arthritis Foundation
The Arthritis Foundation is the only national nonprofit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions with advocacy, programs, services and research.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – Arthritis
The goal of the CDC’s arthritis program is to improve the quality of life of people affected by arthritis. CDC and its partners are working to implement recommendations in the National Arthritis Action Plan.
Center for Osteonecrosis Research and Education
The Center for Osteonecrosis Research and Education is made up of a group of patients, their families, physicians and other caring individuals who are interested in finding a cure for osteonecrosis.
The Osteonecrosis/Avascular Necrosis Support Group Association
The Osteonecrosis/Avascular Necrosis Support Group Association is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization committed to help those suffering from this debilitating disease by offering moral support, comfort and an opportunity to learn about the bone disease.
