UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Sports Medicine, Knee and Shoulder Program focuses on accurate diagnosis, effective rehabilitation and appropriate surgical treatment for both acute and chronic sports injuries of the knee and shoulder. Our goal is to restore function and guide the safe return to recreational and athletic activities at all levels. We emphasize a focused rehabilitation program as an initial treatment when appropriate.
Our orthopaedic surgeons are experienced in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of rotator cuff injuries, bursitis and cartilage/meniscal/ligamentous injuries in the knee.
For degenerative conditions of the shoulder, UT Southwestern offers the newest techniques in shoulder arthroplasty and reconstruction.
We also regularly treat overuse injuries commonly resulting from throwing sports and running sports.
Our dedication to providing expert and compassionate care makes an important difference in our patients’ treatment and changes their outlook on the future. UT Southwestern physicians show patients how they can achieve a renewed state of health they may have not thought possible.
