UT Southwestern Medical Center’s rehabilitation specialists provide effective therapies to help patients recover from all types of wounds, including abrasions, burns, skin ulcers, staph wound infections and wounds arising from trauma. In addition, our wound care center offers patients beneficial cosmetic surgical procedures to address aesthetic needs related to incisions and sutures that have been a part of recent operations.
Our staff provides compassionate, individualized rehabilitation treatments that help wound care patients:
- Eliminate infections;
- Prepare for needed reconstructive surgery; and
- Recover their sense of well being.
The rehabilitation specialists in UT Southwestern's wound care center thoroughly discuss actions patients can take to help heal wounds and realize the benefits of cosmetic surgery. In addition, our physicians and rehabilitation specialists become active partners with our patients in helping them to recover from their wounds during the rehabilitation process.
UT Southwestern physicians’ dedication to provide expert and compassionate care makes an important difference in our patients’ rehabilitation.
