CME Program | Physicians | Speaker Requests

UT Southwestern Medical Center’s continuing medical education (CME) programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and offer ongoing educational opportunities for physicians, scientists, nurses and allied health professionals.

Regularly scheduled conferences − known as grand rounds − represent the largest area of continuing medical education activity at UT Southwestern, which has scheduled over 1,000 individual sessions with more than 40,000 participants. More than 3,400 hours of credit have been assigned for UT Southwestern’s CME events.

Physician participants also report that our CME offerings strengthen their understanding of current medical practices, and an average of 47 percent of responding participants report that they changed their practice behavior as a result of their attendance at CME courses offered at UT Southwestern.

Our continuing education program is dedicated to remaining nationally recognized as a premier provider of advanced health-care knowledge, information about technological advancements, and skills development for physicians and other health-care professionals.

We closely monitor our programs and use survey results as a benchmark for strategic planning. We consistently strive to disseminate new science and clinical research knowledge as well as to provide skills application to improve patient care.

For more information on our upcoming courses and conferences, visit our CME Web site.
